Ben Hammond has become the first ever person to dance the London Marathon! And all to raise funds for Learn Burma.

Here’s what Ben said about his epic dance:

“Whoop!  I did it! On Sunday I put my Free to Dance moves where my mouth is & became the first ever person to DANCE the London Marathon!  It took an exhausting 8 hours and 50 minutes and it was surely the most intense but rewarding experience of my life – the crowds and runners were just incredible, and the atmosphere every time I dodgily danced past crowds out in the sun was brilliant.  I managed to beat my predicted time too – coming in 34,692nd! – and that’s with a mass FREE TO DANCE freemob in the Mall at the finish!   Thank you so much!   There’s no way I could have done it without my amazing support team, brilliant FREEMOBBERS at the end, everyone who sent me messages of support, and all the fabulous sponsors who donated songs to help get me to the finish and raise vital funds for LearnBurma.”

ABOUT FREE TO DANCE   FREE TO DANCE is a fundraising and awareness-raising world record attempt in aid of LearnBurma.  It’s all about celebrating the freedoms we enjoy but which are denied to so many in Burma.
